Welcome to the New York Federation of Music Clubs. The NYFMC has had a long rich history of dedicated individuals and clubs who have created a legacy of music through out the state of New York. NYFMC was founded in 1919 as one of the member states of the National Federation of Music Clubs. NYFMC provides opportunities for musical study, performance, and appreciation for its members. The members of the NFMC include professional and amateur musicians, composers, performing artists, music educators, music students, and music patrons and benefactors.

The primary goal of the NYFMC is to promote American music through out the state by supporting teachers and students in their musical pursuits. The NYFMC offers many competitions and adjudication festivals for aspiring professional musicians, student musicians, and amateur adult students. One of the most dynamic components of the NYFMC is its Junior Festival program in which over 2,000 students participate annually.

The NYFMC also sponsors musicians at several summer musical festivals in New York State and also provides scholarship opportunities to aspiring students in performance, music education, and children with disabilities.

If you would like more information regarding the many programs of the NYFMC please contact Brian Preston, President--NYFMC.
